Position Summary
Vendormate is looking for an experienced Software Business Analyst professional with at least 3 years of relevant experience. The Business Analyst will be responsible for interacting with Executive Management, Operations, Account Managers, Support, Vendor Services, and Sales to understand product requests, perform business case analysis, and translate those high level business requirements into robust development requirements. The Business Analyst must be able to communicate with multiple teams, interact with software applications such as Salesforce.com, Blueprint Requirements Center, Rally, and the MSOffice Suite, as well as interact directly with the Development and QA teams for clarification and problem solving.
Understanding of “Waterfall” and “Agile” development cycles is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Reports to Director of Product Management
- Elicit business requirements from Sales, Operations, Account Mgt, Support, and Senior Mgt
- Translate business requirements into detailed development requirements
- Utilize product management tools including Salesforce.com, Blueprint, and Rally
- Interact directly with Development team to refine requirements and develop alternate solutions
- Interact directly with QA team to clarify questions and defect explanations
- Complete cycle by enhancing business requirements post release, based on QA and Development feedback
- Assist in project management and prioritization with senior Product Mgt Team
- Assist in Business Case analysis and ROI analysis of system enhancements and business requests
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technical, business, or management discipline
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
- Team oriented person
- Ethical, energetic, focused on solving problems
- Experience organizing, prioritizing, then coordinating complex team efforts
- Experience with software development life cycle
- Experience with technical writing and requirements gathering
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to multitask successfully
- 2 to 3 years of Business Analyst experience
